1.BSNL proposal for implementation of pay revision under 3rd PRC:

The internal Committee constituted on 16.8.2017 under the Chairmanship of PGM (EF) for exploring the modalities for implementation of revision of pay under 3rd PRC is likely to finalise its recommendations today. Once finalised it will be submitted to Director (HR) and then will go the Management Committee for approval.

2.Pension scheme of BSNL recruited employees:

The decision for additional 2% contribution by BSNL, approved by the Management Committee, has been sent to the Remunerations Committee.

3.Rescinding of EPP Para I.II (v) by DoT disallowing extra increment on regular promotion in the same scale:

As reported by us earlier, BSNL has already written to DoT for review and withdrawal of DoT letter dated 5.7.2017.

AIBSNLOA West Bengal has always been in the fore-front when it comes to improvement of BSNL services. Earlier it played active role in getting permission for cable laying on Vidyasagar Setu, free of any charges. Later Com.Soumya Basak, Circle Secretary, AIBSNLOA West Bengal, represented to Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, in deference to CGM CTD request to Government of West Bengal, seeking permission for installation of Access points in State Govt. Buildings and premises, with enhanced data speed. AIBSNLOA West Bengal kept following up the issue with State Government authorities. Now, Department of Information Technology & Electronics, Kolkata has conveyed its no objection in respect of BSNL proposal for installation of Access points, specifically refering to the letter from Com.Soymya Basak, Circle Secretary, AIBSNLOA, West Bengal. 'Our confidence is based on the fact that the affordability clause was very much there in the Government decisions on the recommendations of the 2nd PRC circulated vide DPE OM No.2(70)/08-DPE (WC) dated 26.11.2008, with the only difference that the 2nd PRC stipulated ‘not more than 20% dip in PBT for the year 2007-08’, and the 3rd PRC has stipulated ‘not more than 20% dip in PBT for the last three financial years preceding the year of implementation.’ The DPE OM dated 26.11.2008 for implementation of 2nd PRC recommendations had also provided for ‘a uniform lower fitment benefit of 10% or 20%, depending upon their affordability’. Even then Executives of MTNL were granted pay revision w.e.f. 1.1.2007 with the highest admissible fitment benefit of 30% despite MTNL incurring consecutive losses for several years before.'   Read More
