  • 30.03.2011: Meeting with Director (HR) and other senior officers: CHQ office-bearers had a meeting with Director (HR) today. Com.V.P.Arya, Com.G.P.Patel, Com.Sant Kumar, CS, HP, Com.Sudip De Chowdury, CWC Member, WB State Body and Com. Rajesh Kumar, CP, HP were present. We greeted Shri A.K.Garg on his taking over charge as Director (HR). The meeting was very cordial and we had general discussion on various matters pertaining to BSNL's viability, on which we had submitted our proposals earlier. We shall be meeting Director (HR) again shortly. Later in a meeting with Sr.GM (Pers), the delay in issue of promotion orders to DGM (Adhoc), DE (Regular) and SDE (Telecom) was taken up. Promotion to SDE (Telecom) order was reported to be ready for issue. Action is in progress for issue of the other promotion orders also. Flouting of BSNL orders in avoiding mass scale transfers by SEA section of BSNL CO, Gujarat, Kerala and MP Circles was also discussed. Sr.GM (Pers) agreed to talk to the CGMs of the concerned Circles. We had a meeting with ED (NB) and PGM (BW) also, requesting them to ensure that provisions of BSNL Transfer Policy with respect to age relaxations are strictly followed.

  • 17.03.2011: Maharashtra Circle Body of AIBSNLOA has been formed in a grand meeting held at Bhandara on 16.03.2011. Large number of Executives belonging to Bhandara, Nagpur and nearby SSAs participated in the meeting and voiced their faith in AIBSNLOA and its functioning. An energetic and dynamic Circle Body has been formed with Com.L.M.Katre, as President, Com.S.I.Shaikh as Circle Secretary and Com.B.D.Walde as Finance Secretary. Com.S.S.Sangam, AGM, Gondia delivered the Vote of Thanks. The meeting ended with loud cheering and slogan shouting -"AIBSNLOA MAHARASHTRA ZINDABAD". Later the participants assembled outside the campus of the telephone exchange with unprecedented enthusiasm, fired crackers and exchanged greetings for a "Bright Future for BSNL as well as AIBSNLOA Maharashtra Circle" and "A colourfu and Glorious HOLI."   • 02.03.2011:Meeting with CMD Shri S.C.Misra: After taking over additional charge as CMD BSNL, Shri S.C.Misra, had called for a meeting today with representatives of all associations and unions. He mentioned about the gap of Rs.600 -700 crores between revenue and expenditure which is the cause for financial constrains faced today and requested all to explore as to how fast we can improve the cash flow and restrict expenditure so as to improve our base. He wanted all to focus on the quality of service. On behalf of AIBSNLOA, we pointed out that huge expenditure on tours and meetings could be saved by utilising the video conferencing facility and insisted that expenditure on transfers and numerous court cases could be avoided. We also pointed out that contrary to other service providers we have been lacking in marketing MNP. We also drew the attention of the CMD to the fact that even after 10 years of formation of BSNL the assets are yet to be transferred from DoT although we have been paying taxes and other fees for these assets.
