02.03.2011:Meeting with CMD Shri S.C.Misra: After taking over additional charge as CMD BSNL, Shri S.C.Misra, had called for a meeting today with representatives of all associations and unions. He mentioned about the gap of Rs.600 -700 crores between revenue and expenditure which is the cause for financial constrains faced today and requested all to explore as to how fast we can improve the cash flow and restrict expenditure so as to improve our base. He wanted all to focus on the quality of service. On behalf of AIBSNLOA, we pointed out that huge expenditure on tours and meetings could be saved by utilising the video conferencing facility and insisted that expenditure on transfers and numerous court cases could be avoided. We also pointed out that contrary to other service providers we have been lacking in marketing MNP. We also drew the attention of the CMD to the fact that even after 10 years of formation of BSNL the assets are yet to be transferred from DoT although we have been paying taxes and other fees for these assets.
