13.12.2012:Meeting with GM (Pers): GS met GM (Pers) yesterday and requested early holding of DPC for promotion to DE on adhoc basis, that too for all the vacancies instead of only 1300, since the Jabalpur CAT has dismissed the application pending before it. GM (Pers) informed us that the matter lies with the Management Committee since it has to approve diversion of posts. Now it is learnt that the Management Committee has called for input w.r.t. plan for recruitment of Management Trainees and justification for filling up DE posts on adhoc basis in view of declining landline connections. Along with these information, the Management Committee is reported to have sought resubmission of the proposal for diversion of posts.

11.12.2012:BSNL Board approves 5 advance increments to departmental JAOs: GS met GM (Estt) today and requested information regarding the status of the issue of granting 5 advance increments to departmental JAOs who passed the JAO Part II examination held in January 2010. GM (Estt) informed that BSNL Board has approved the recommendations of the Committee allowing 5 advance increments to these JAOs.

11.12.2012:Court case related to promotion from TES Group B to STS on adhoc basis: The Hon'ble CAT Jabalpur which had reserved orders in the case on 8.10.2012 has today dismissed the application. Details of the orders will be known later.

10.12.2012:Meeting with CGMT, Bihar: GS had a chance meeting with Shri Bijoy Kumar, CGMT, Bihar Circle who had visited Corporate Office. The discussions were cordial, useful and spread over the financial viability of BSNL, BSNL's performance in Bihar and the issue of transfer of our Bihar Circle Secretary to Patna. CGMT/Bihar was very much appreciative of AIBSNLOA Bihar Circle President Com.Abhay Kumar, TDE, Kishanganj District and his contribution towards the Number One status of Kishanganj District in Bihar Circle. He has agreed to consider favourably the transfer of Com.M.K.Singh, Circle Secretary to Patna.

09.12.2012:Meeting with GM (Trg): GS along with Circle President of Corporate Office Branch met General Manager (Training) on 7.12.2012 and discussed about our request for reviewing the policy of mandatory training/online examination. GM (Trg) informed us that our request was considered but it was decided to continue with the policy since 90% of the officers appearing in the examination had no problem with the scheme. We explained the difficulties listed out in our letters and requested to reconsider the matter, with particular emphasis on the usefulness of the examination after the age of 55. GM (Trg) agreed to review the case. As GM (Trg) is looking after the duties of GM (SR) we requested him to hold membership verification among the Executives since no Executive Association is recognised in BSNL. We also requested that equal trade union facilities should be extended to all the Executive Associations pending such membership verification. GM (Trg) said that he will call for the files and study the issue.

09.12.2012:Meeting with GM (FP): GS met General Manager (FP) on 7.12.2012 and discussed about holding of DPCs for promotion to AO, CAO and DGM (F) grades. GM (FP) informed us that the process of holding DPC for promotion to CAO (Regular) is in progress. In respect of promotion to AO grade, the court case has been postponed to January. As far as promotion to DGM (F) grade, we were informed that the issue raised by SC/ST Commission Lucknow is yet to be sorted out. We requested that serious efforts may be taken to bring the court case to an early end and to get the issue raised by SC/ST commissione, Lucknow sorted out early. GS then requested GM (FP) to consider the requests for retention/reallotment on transfer from AOs in STR, Chennai. GM (FP) has agreed to favourably consider the requests.
