27.05.2013:TRAI prescribes SMS Termination Charge and Transactional SMS Charge:'TRAI has released: (i) ‘The Short Message Services (SMS) Termination Charges Regulations, 2013’ which prescribes cost based SMS Termination Charge as 2 paise per SMS; (ii) Amendment to the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010 which prescribes a transactional SMS charge of 5 paise per transactional SMS . 24.05.2013:Meeting with Addl.GM (Est):GS met Addl.GM (Est) who is also the Chairman of the committee on restructuring of hindi cadres and requested him to take into account the letter dated 2.5.2013 issued by Secretary, Dept. of OL. Addl.GM (Est) has agreed to take note of it. He informed that since the composition of the committee has changed with relieving of one member and joining of a new member, he will have to hold another meeting of the committee before submitting the recommendations. The file is with the new member for consideration. We have requested him to take early decisions on creation of more Rajbasha Adhikari posts in all circles and on revision of pay scales of Rajbasha Adhikari.

22.05.2013:Meeting with Director (HR):GS met Director (HR) and raised the issue of promotion to DE Adhoc. He reiterated our often repeated request that a part list involving 1994 promotees may be considered for promotion since their seniority is not in dispute in any court. Director (HR) has agreed to discuss the matter with Sr.GM (Pers). We also requested him to consider divertion of some more posts from MT quota. GS then discussed about violation of transfer policy in Madhya Pradesh circle, while handing over the letter. Director (HR) agreed to enquire into the issue. The case of stoppage of salary to an executive without any notice was also discussed with him. He has agreed to talk to CGMT, Bihar. GS sought the intervention of Director (HR) so that the committee on restructuring of hindi cadres speeds up its work and submits the report at the earliest. The recent letter from Secretary Dept. of Official Language regarding revision of pay scales of Rajbasha Adhikari was brought to his notice. Director (HR) has agreed to do the needful.

17.05.2013:Meeting with GM (SR):GS met GM (SR) today and had discussions with him regarding conduct of Membership Verification among BSNL Executives. He requested GM (SR) to grant equal facilities to all associations till membership verification is conducted. GM (SR) agreed with our view points and has assured to take a decision in this regard early. GS also brought to his notice about the derogatory remarks made by CGMT Madhya Pradesh against union/association representatives in the World Telcom Day function held at Bhopal and the demand of the unions/associations for action against CGMT, Madhya Pradesh. GM (SR) said that he was not aware of the matter and assured that he will call for a report.
