As a part of 'SWAS' programme, Trichy SSA in Tamilnadu took an innovative initiative and organised 'CUSTOMER AWARNESS RALLY' on Thursday the 28th January 2016 at Trichy. Fixation of pay on promotion - clarification:
As per DPE OM dated 26.11.2008, while fixing pay on promotion for an Executive, One notional increment equal to the increment being drawn by the executive in the pay scale before such promotion is being granted and pay fixed in the promoted pay scale and rounded off to the next multiple of Rs. 10/-. Whereas in respect of non-executives, on promotion, one notional increment equal to 3% of the existing basic pay rounded off to the next multiple of Rs.10 is being granted and pay fixed in the promoted pay scale. GS met GM (Est) on Friday and requested early implementation of E2 & E3 scales for JTOs & SDEs and equivalent cadres and to finalise superannuation benefits for BSNL recruited employees without further delay. GM (Est) said that the committee's recommendation for implementing only E2 and E3 scales without change in scales of higher grades will not be practicable and will result in more anomalies and hence a fresh look is being made on the issue. As far as the issue of superannuation benefits for BSNL recruited employees, GM (Est) said that the file has been sent to EF Section with calculations based on varied contribution by BSNL. Meeting with CMD BSNL:
GS, AGS, OS(N) along with CS , FS and ACS of Corporate office circle met CMD BSNL yesterday and conveyed Best Wishes for the New Year. We congratulated him for his efforts to turn around BSNL which have started giving results. CMD said that it was because of joint effort by all and that for the better future of BSNL everybody should work hard to ensure that BSNL earns maximum revenue and achieves positive growth. Everybody should think about new schemes to increase sale of Landline, Mobile and Broadband services. Along with BSNL management, associations should also organise Sanchar Mela, exhibitions and one to one contact to educate the existing customers about the BSNL services and different tariff plan and also to know problems of customers and their requirement. We assured CMD that AIBSNLOA will make strong move in this direction. On the occasion we also presented BSNL Executive Diary 2016 printed by AIBSNLOA to CMD BSNL. CMD BSNL appreciated the design and quality of the Diary. He also checked the index and the contents of the diary. Yesterday we also met GM(Pers) and Jt.GM (Pers) and requested them to take an early decision on the cancellation / retention requests submitted by this association. GM (Pers) assured us that all the cases will be finalized in the coming week. We also met GM(Restg) and enquired about decision taken by the Management on report submitted by the committee on CPSU cadre hierarchy. GM (Restg) told us that the report submitted by the committee had no clarity on some issues and the three staff side members had different views on implementation of CPSU cadre hierarchy in BSNL. CMD’s New Year address:
CMD BSNL addressed the staff of BSNL Corporate Office on 1st January 2016. While wishing all a happy and prosperous New Year, he narrated how BSNL came to the rescue of Chennai people by providing the vital communication when Chennai faced national disaster. BSNL also offered free calls and data for one week. As an indication that people have realised that BSNL alone is reliable, the daily revenue in Chennai has gone up from Rupees Seven Lakhs to Nine Lakhs after the deluge. He appreciated the programme of ‘Service with a Smile’ launched by all the unions and associations under Forum. He said that the Operational Income has been increasing while the operational expenditure has come down. CMD said that all should work hard to sustain this trend so that we get our due pay revision along with other PSUs. He informed the gathering that BSNL has succeeded in the legal battle, resulting in the Income Tax department agreeing to refund Rs.10000 crores to BSNL in the next financial year. CMD believed that a boat can survive even if the sea is stormy but will not survive if the storm is within the boat and requested all to work together forgetting all the differences.03.01.2016:
