As per BSNL's proposals the VRS to BSNL employees will provide for 'Ex-gratia amount of 60 days of salary (Pay + DA) for each completed year of service or salary for number of months of service left, whichever is less. Scheme will be made open to all employees above the age of 45 years. All the other retirement benefits will be payable by the Government. DoT has been requested to provide Rs.11,276 crores towards ex-gratia payable to around 1 lakh estimated VRS optees, as a non-interest bearing lumpsum grant or infusion of additional equity.'
