Did Telecom Biggies form cartel for 3G bidding?:
'The circles won by Tata Teleservices and Aircel are
almost altogether different and if combined lead to a pan-India presence. Recent
Income-Tax reports which were leaked out, speculated ownership links between
TTSL and Aircel. Another visible trend which may spark off cartelization
allegations, is an analysis of the circles won by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone.
This again points out hardly any circles which overlap between the two firms.'

unless a sympathetic view is taken on the matter.'
AIBSNLOA GROWS FROM
STRENGTH TO STRENGTH:
With all eyes watching, the Mega Event has taken place today with a huge gathering. Defying unprecedented intimidation,
coercion, spreading of false propaganda and braving physical block by 30 odd 'gate
keepers' at the entrance,
hundreds of Executives assembled today in the Telephone Bhawan,
Kolkata and have resolved to join and strengthen AIBSNLOA. The meeting decided to float the Circle Body in a few
days. More comrades who could not make it to the meeting have conveyed
their support and have assured to join AIBSNLOA. Photos of the event will
be published shortly.

CHQ writes to CMD BSNL on Anomaly in pay fixation in revised IDA scales for JTOs/JAOs/Assistants
etc. with particular reference to JTO Batches 2006 & 2007:
'This will result in a huge gap between the pay drawn by
the officers in JTO Batch 2005 on one side and the JTO Batches 2006 & 2007 on
the other side. The disparity or difference in pay will have a cumulative effect
due to the fact that the increments as well as Dearness Allowance are calculated
as a percentage of the basic pay, resulting in widening of the gap with time.'

writes to Secretary, DoT on Non-settlement of the Pay Scales for JTOs/equivalent
and SDEs/ equivalent cadres in BSNL– simmering unrest among Executives:
'Now with the settlement of the revised IDA pay scales of
the non-Executive cadres of BSNL, these are the two groups of Executives who
alone have been made to wait for their just pay scales. Thus, frustration and
demoralization in these key cadres of BSNL can be well appreciated.'
writes to MoC on Physical transfer of lands and buildings from DoT to BSNL and
completion of the process of Registration:
'The fact that even after 10 years of formation of BSNL,

'The telecom watchdog's recommendations on allocation of
spectrum for second generation (2G) telephony evoked mixed reactions from mobile
phone companies on Wednesday. The country's top operator, Bharti Airtel, called
