1.CPSU Cadre Hierarchy:

We requested that before finalising the issue we should also be taken into confidence. PGM (Pers) said that presently the matter is being examined based on the proposal of the respresentative association. Once proposals are finalised, views of other associations will be heard, before putting up for approval by the competent authority.

2. Resolving the stalemate in holding DPC for promotion to various grades:

PGM (Pers) informed us that a fresh SLP is being filed, requesting the Apex Court to allow BSNL to give promotions as per the existing DoP&T guidelines. Action will be taken as per Court's directions.

The report of the Internal Committee proposing implementation of revised pay scales with 15% fitnment benefit, has been approved by the Management Committee of BSNL. After the report gets nod from CMD, it will be sent to the Remunerations Committee.

2. Pension Contribution by BSNL on the basis of actual pay instead of maximum of the pay scale:

DoT Finance is reported to have cleared the proposal. It is being sent to Department of Expenditure under Minstry of Finance for concurrence.

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for hiving off mobile tower assets of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) into a separate company, fully owned by BSNL. This approval authorizes BSNL to monetize its telecom tower infrastructure with the formation of a separate subsidiary company. There are around 4,42,000 mobile towers in the country out of which more than 66,000 mobile tower are of BSNL. He asked pointedly what they wanted to know. When representatives of AIBSNLOA asked him whether they can expect a positive outcome for BSNL Executives, he replied emphatically, "YES". Later they had discussions with CMD. CMD asked them to continue to work hard for improving BSNL's revenue and said that he will take care of pay revision matter.
